MTSU Men’s Tennis Reveals Fall 2024 Schedule

Middle Tennessee men’s tennis head coach Jimmy Borendame has unveiled an exciting 10-tournament schedule for the upcoming 2024 fall campaign. The Blue Raiders will start the season with two home events, beginning with the Wally Tidwell Tennis Pro-Am on September 6-7, followed by the Blue Raider Invite on September 13-15 at the Outdoor Tennis Facility in Murfreesboro. This will be a great opportunity for the team to showcase their skills and compete against top-tier opponents such as Tennessee, Indiana, Vanderbilt, and Lipscomb.

After the opening homestand, Middle Tennessee will hit the road for three consecutive events in September and October. The team will participate in the prestigious ITA All-Americans Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma from September 22-29, followed by the Belmont Invite in Nashville from September 27-29, and the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals in West Lafayette, Indiana from October 10-14. These tournaments will provide valuable experience and tough competition for the Blue Raiders as they prepare for the upcoming season.

Coach Borendame’s squad will return to Murfreesboro on the weekend of October 18-20 to host the Coach Buck Bouldin Fall Classic at the Outdoor Tennis Facility. This event will see Middle Tennessee face off against East Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech, and Virginia Tech, offering fans an exciting opportunity to watch high-level collegiate tennis right in their backyard.

Following the final home event of the fall, the Blue Raiders will compete in their third and fourth ITA events. They will first participate in the ITA Conference Masters Championships in Malibu, California from November 7-10, followed by the ITA Sectionals at Florida State in Tallahassee from November 8-10. These tournaments will provide the team with additional opportunities to fine-tune their skills and compete against top competition from around the country.

Middle Tennessee will wrap up their fall schedule with a pair of road tournaments in November. They will first compete in the Battle at the Beach in Miramar Beach, Florida from November 8-10, before concluding the season at the NCAA Individual Championships in Waco, Texas from November 21-24. These tournaments will be the perfect way for the Blue Raiders to cap off their fall campaign and build momentum heading into the spring season.

Coach Borendame expressed his excitement for the upcoming fall schedule, highlighting the team’s focus on player and team development. He emphasized that the events on the schedule will only serve to make the team stronger for the spring season, setting the stage for a successful year ahead.
