Three Nebraska Public Media Telecasts Added to Volleyball Schedule; BIG EAST Championship Sites Announced

Nebraska Public Media has announced that they will be broadcasting three Creighton Volleyball matches this fall. This is exciting news for fans of the Bluejay volleyball team, as they will have the opportunity to watch their favorite team in action on television. The matches that will be aired include the games against Xavier on October 18, St. John’s on November 1, and Villanova on November 3. Creighton has a perfect 8-0 record on Nebraska Public Media since September of 2019, making these upcoming matches highly anticipated by fans.

In addition to the broadcasts on Nebraska Public Media, Creighton Volleyball will also have three matches televised by FS1 or FS2, including games against USC, Marquette, and a matchup against Nebraska on September 10. This increased coverage of Creighton Volleyball is a testament to the team’s success and popularity, as they continue to draw in viewers and fans from across the country.

The BIG EAST has also announced the dates and sites of the Olympic sports championships for the 2024-25 academic year. All 22 BIG EAST Championships, including the Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments, will be Presented by JEEP. The postseason coverage will begin on FS1 on November 10, with the women’s soccer title game scheduled for 11 a.m. The men’s soccer championship field will remain at eight teams, with quarterfinal action starting on November 11.

The volleyball championship will be played at D.J. Sokol Arena, hosted by Creighton. Six teams will compete for the BIG EAST title, with the top-two seeds earning a first-round bye. The championship game will air on FS2 on Saturday, November 30. The BIG EAST Cross Country Championships will be hosted by Georgetown at Morven Park in Leesburg, Va., on November 1, with the races streaming on BEDN.

For the winter season, the Indoor Track & Field Championships will return to the Dr. Conrad Worrill Track and Field Center in Chicago and be hosted by DePaul. The spring postseason events will kick off with the men’s and women’s tennis championships in Cayce, S.C., followed by the women’s golf championship at Riverton Pointe Country Club in Hardeeville, S.C. The men’s golf championship will take place at Callawassie Island in Okatie, S.C.

The softball championship will be held at Villanova University, with the title game scheduled for May 10. The outdoor track & field championships will be hosted by UConn in Storrs, Conn., from May 15 to May 17. Baseball will return to Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio, co-hosted by Xavier from May 21 to May 24. The spring Olympic Sports TV schedule will be released later this winter.
