Preseason Rankings for Boys Tennis Announced

With boy’s tennis practice underway and the regular season quickly approaching, the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) has released its preseason coaches polls for boys tennis. These polls provide a glimpse into the top teams to watch out for in the upcoming season and set the stage for what promises to be an exciting and competitive season.

In Class 5A, the preseason coaches poll has ranked Regis Jesuit as the top team to beat. Following closely behind are powerhouse teams like Cherry Creek, Valor Christian, and Ralston Valley. Fossil Ridge, Fairview, Arapahoe, Mountain Vista, Castle View, and Grandview round out the top 10 in Class 5A. Additionally, teams like Rock Canyon, Denver East, Fort Collins, and others have also received votes in the preseason poll, indicating the depth and competitiveness of the field in Class 5A.

Moving on to Class 4A, Kent Denver has been ranked as the top team in the preseason coaches poll. Cheyenne Mountain, Colorado Academy, D’Evelyn, and Mullen are also expected to be strong contenders in Class 4A. Evergreen, George Washington, Coronado, Niwot, and Palmer Ridge complete the top 10 in Class 4A. Similar to Class 5A, several other teams like Discovery Canyon, Vail Christian, Longmont, and others have received votes in the preseason poll, showcasing the talent and potential in Class 4A.

It is important to note that these preseason rankings are just a starting point and that the actual season results may vary. As the season progresses, CHSAA will release the Seedings Index, which will provide a weekly ranking for sports that have a Seedings Index, including field hockey, flag football, football, boys soccer, softball, and girls volleyball.
