Park City and Morgan tie for first place at Utah High School Golf Invitational – Deseret News

Park City and Morgan High School golf teams put on an impressive display of skill and talent at the Utah High School Invitational held at Copper Golf Club in Magna. The third annual event saw these two powerhouse teams tie for first place, each shooting an impressive 294 in the 18-hole tournament.

The competition was fierce, with some of the top high school golf teams in the state participating in the event. Viewmont finished third with a score of 301, followed by Riverton in fourth with a 302 and Bingham in fifth with a 305. Defending champions Corner Canyon and Olympus also took part in the tournament, although it was mostly their junior varsity players who competed.

Individual performances were equally impressive, with Lance Loughton from Morgan leading the pack with a score of 67. Corver Barnes from Viewmont and Rawson Hardy from Park City both shot a 69, showcasing their exceptional skills on the course. Jaxon Erickson from Riverton and Forrest Summers from Park City followed closely behind with scores of 70 each.

The picturesque setting of Copper Golf Club provided the perfect backdrop for the tournament, with players navigating the challenging course with precision and skill. The well-maintained greens and fairways tested the golfers‘ abilities, making for an exciting and competitive event.
