The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced that tickets are now on sale for the upcoming UTRGV Tournament, which will take place from September 12-14 at the UTRGV Fieldhouse. This exciting event will feature six matches with five schools participating, including the hosting Vaqueros, Texas Tech, San Francisco, Houston Christian, and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
Fans have the option to purchase tickets in the form of an all-session pass or single-day passes. The all-session pass, priced at $25, guarantees a seat at all six matches, including UTRGV’s home-opener against Texas Tech on September 12 at 6:30 p.m. On September 13, four matches will be played, starting with Houston Christian vs. San Francisco at 10 a.m., followed by Texas A&M-Corpus Christi vs. Texas Tech at 12:30 p.m., Texas Tech vs. Houston Christian at 4 p.m., and UTRGV vs. San Francisco at 6:30 p.m. The final match of the tournament will take place on September 14 at 11 a.m. between San Francisco and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
For those interested in attending specific matches, single-day passes are also available at varying prices. Day 1 passes can be purchased for $8 each, granting access to the UTRGV vs. Texas Tech match. Day 2 passes are priced at $15 each and provide entry to all four matches scheduled on September 13. Day 3 passes, priced at $8 each, allow admittance to the tournament finale on September 14.
The highlight of the UTRGV vs. Texas Tech match is the Orange Out/Pack the House event sponsored by McAllen International Airport. Fans are encouraged to wear orange to show their support for the Vaqueros and will receive free rally towels sponsored by Rally Credit Union.
