Basketball Schedule for Men’s Team Released for 2024-25 Season

Brown Men’s Basketball Head Coach Mike Martin ’04 has recently unveiled the team’s 2024-25 schedule, which promises to be an exciting and challenging season for the Bears. The 27-game slate includes 14 non-conference matchups, as well as trips to powerhouse programs like Kansas and Kentucky.

„We are looking forward to what should be a really challenging non-conference schedule in preparation for another competitive Ivy League season,“ Martin stated. „It’s always a priority for us to play our fellow Rhode Island institutions, and this year is no different as we will take on URI, Bryant, and Johnson & Wales.“

The season will kick off on Nov. 4 with a road game against Siena, followed by the home opener against Maine on Nov. 10. The Bears will then host the College Hill Classic from Nov. 15-17, where they will face off against New Hampshire, Holy Cross, and Sacred Heart.

In addition to the in-state matchups, Brown will also go head-to-head with Bryant and Rhode Island in December. The Bears will wrap up 2024 with challenging road trips to Kansas and Kentucky, providing the team with valuable experience against top-tier competition.

„We are also very excited to host the College Hill Classic in mid-November,“ Martin added. „Our program is going to experience Allen Fieldhouse and Rupp Arena within the span of 10 days of each other, playing against two of the sport’s true blue blood programs. We are grateful for every opportunity that awaits.“

Ivy League play will commence on Jan. 11 with a road game against Yale. The league schedule features a tough three-game road trip and a four-game homestand, culminating in the final regular season game against Yale on March 8. Ivy Madness, featuring the top-four teams in the regular season standings, will take place from March 16-17 at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
