Virginia Women’s Basketball Reveals Non-Conference Schedule for 2024-25 Season

The non-conference schedule for the 2024-2025 Virginia women’s basketball season was recently unveiled, showcasing an exciting lineup of games for fans to look forward to. The schedule includes a mix of home games, neutral-site matchups, and a challenging road game against Oklahoma, a team that made a deep run in the 2024 NCAA Tournament as a No. 5 seed.

The 12-game non-conference slate kicks off on Monday, November 4th with a home game against American at John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, VA. This will be the first opportunity for fans to see the team in action and get a glimpse of what to expect for the upcoming season. The following Friday, November 8th, the Cavaliers will face a tough test on the road against Oklahoma in Norman, OK, setting the tone for the level of competition they will face throughout the season.

After the road game, Virginia will return home for a four-game homestand, taking on Radford, La Salle, Alabama State, and Bethune-Cookman in consecutive matchups. This stretch of games will provide the team with an opportunity to build chemistry and momentum before heading into the Thanksgiving holiday.

During the week of Thanksgiving, the Cavaliers will travel to San Juan, Puerto Rico to participate in the Discover Puerto Rico Shootout at Roberto Clemente Coliseum. The team will play three games in as many days, facing off against Green Bay, Washington State, and Wyoming. While admission to the games is free for those attending in person, fans will need a subscription to FloHoops to watch the games online.

Following their return from Puerto Rico, Virginia will host Auburn in the second-annual ACC/SEC Challenge on December 5th. This game will provide another opportunity for the team to test themselves against quality competition before the start of conference play. The non-conference schedule will wrap up with home games against Maryland-Eastern Shore on December 17th and Coppin State on December 21st.

As the season approaches, fans can look forward to the release of the full 2024-2025 Virginia women’s basketball schedule, including details on tipoff times and TV designations. With a mix of home games, challenging road matchups, and neutral-site contests, the upcoming season promises to be an exciting one for the Cavaliers and their fans.
