Central Michigan Field Hockey has unveiled an exciting promotional slate for the 2024 season, offering fans a variety of themed home games and free branded items to enhance their game day experience. From t-shirt tosses to special giveaways, each home outing promises to be a memorable event for Chippewa supporters.

The promotional schedule kicks off with the „Back to School Bash“ exhibition game against Michigan State on August 20. In conjunction with the start of classes for Mount Pleasant Public Schools and CMU, the Chippewas will host a school supply drive during the game. Fans who donate to the drive will receive a Fire Up Chips! button and free popcorn, making it a fun and charitable way to kick off the season.

On September 13, the team will recognize Suicide Prevention Awareness week during their game against Colgate. Fans in attendance will receive teal and purple ribbon stickers, and information on the cause will be available at Fan Central at Cristy Freese Field. It’s a meaningful way for the Chippewas to show their support for an important cause.

The „Maroon Out“ game against Longwood on September 20 encourages fans to pack the stands in a sea of maroon as the team takes on their MAC Opener opponent. Fans will receive free maroon CMU Field Hockey t-shirts, adding to the excitement of the game day experience.

For the „Maroon & Gold Game“ against Bellarmine on October 4, fans can earn double Maroon & Gold Rewards points by filling the stands and supporting the team. This special promotion gives fans the opportunity to earn rewards faster and adds an extra incentive to cheer on the Chippewas.

Senior Day on October 13 will be a special occasion as the team celebrates their six seniors at the conclusion of the game against Michigan State. It’s a chance for fans to show their appreciation for the dedication and hard work of these student-athletes throughout their collegiate careers.

The season will wrap up with the Cancer Awareness Game against Miami (OH) on October 25, where the team will recognize Cancer Awareness Month. Fans will receive ribbon stickers and information on the cause will be available at Fan Central, highlighting the team’s commitment to raising awareness for an important issue.
