The Legion Post 434 Wednesday Night Men’s League at Pinehurst Golf Course in Westfield saw some impressive performances this week. Scott Jagoda led the way with a low round of 36, showcasing his skill on the course. Justin Thomas also had a standout performance with the low net score of 30. Steve Trippy and Josh Warner posted gross scores of 40, while Bob Remington and Levi Davis each shot 41. Davis and Warner also had a net score of 31, along with Terry Presto, Steve Mawhir, and Brian Kinney who shot 32. Closest to the pin honors went to George Petrella and Dave Adams.

The league also saw some remarkable shots during the round. Mawhir recorded an eagle on No. 9, showcasing his precision and skill. Crow Beers had back-to-back birdies on No. 4 and 5, demonstrating his consistency and accuracy. Other birdies were made by Terry Presto, Brandon Presto, Jeff Thomas, Dave Daniels, Gary Arnold, Tim Cerrie, Scott Jagoda, Al Lehman, Bob Remington, and Josh Warner. These players displayed their talent and ability to navigate the course effectively.

Moving on to the Chautauqua Golf Course, Nickara Liddell stood out in the Monday Night Ladies League with a low gross score of 46 on the back 9 of the Lake Course. Jody Lehman, Sue Marker, Jen Garrett, Grace Wheeler, Shelly Cady, Tammy Rice, Marygrace Guarino, Kathy Carlson, Jen Stanton, Rebecca Allen, and Sue Bero also posted notable scores during the round. These women showcased their skills and competitiveness on the course.

Over at Willow Run Golf Course in Mayville, the Wednesday AM Women’s League saw Mary Gibb leading Class A with a low gross score of 36. Cheryl Johnson had the low net of 28 in the same class. Helen Willman led Class B with a gross score of 44, while Lissa VanDewark had a net score of 28. In Class C, Kathy Yaw had the low gross of 47, while Sarah Goebel and Karen Schuver had the low net of 30. The fewest putts were recorded by Marshal Gastol with 13, showcasing his efficiency on the greens. Gibb and Goebel also made birdies during the round, highlighting their skill and precision.

At Cassadaga Country Club, the Monday Night Men’s Golf League saw Steve Wintersteen shooting a 36 to lead the pack, while Kevin Overton had the low net score of 31. Wintersteen also won skins with a birdie on No. 10, along with Bulger and Wallace who had birdies on other holes. Kerry Murphy was closest to the pin on No. 15, showcasing his accuracy and skill. Other low scores were recorded by Tim Bulger, Fred Chamberlin, Joel Marsh, Adam Meyers, Jared Trinkle, Jeff Benson, Matt Wallace, and Bob Warsitz, highlighting the competitive nature of the league.

In the Integrated Benefits Solutions Tuesday Night Men’s Golf League at Cassadaga Country Club, Brenton Wilcox shot a 31 to lead the field, while Mike Lawhead had the low net of 29. Skins were won by Nick Stern and Wilcox with birdies on different holes, showcasing their ability to score well. Closest to the pin honors went to Mike Hoffman on No. 6, highlighting his accuracy and precision. Other low scores were recorded by Mike Lancaster, Rod Lind, Jason Anderson, Steve Wintersteen, Kerry Murphy, Stern, Mike Botticello, Brian Kinney, and Scott Nuccio, demonstrating the competitiveness of the league.

The Thursday Tom Tucker League at the Vineyards Golf Course in Fredonia saw Matt Kessler leading the way with a score of 33. John Bell and Jack Kujawa claimed closest-to-the-pin honors on different holes, showcasing their accuracy. Skins were earned by Cody Merrill and Gordy Haight, highlighting their ability to score well. Other low scores were recorded by Craig Sutton, Brian Curtis, Steve Lundin, Bob Golubski, Ricky Bauza, Rob LeGrano, Gordy Haight, Dave Meadows, Joe Sorci, Mike Rylowicz, Steve Dando, and Dave Ferguson, demonstrating the competitive nature of the league.

In the Utility League at The Vineyards Golf Course, Mike Willoughby stood out with a low scratch of 40 and a low net of 32. He carded six pars during the round, showcasing his consistency and skill. Skins were claimed by Joe Polichetti and Frank Jagoda, with impressive shots on the course. Willoughby also won closest to the pin honors on No. 5, highlighting his accuracy. With four weeks remaining, the competition remains fierce in the league, with teams vying for the top spot.

Back at Pinehurst Golf Club in Westfield, Lyndy Smith and Nolan Swanson both shot 37s to lead the Thursday Night Men’s League. Jason Jagoda had the low net score of 30, showcasing his ability to score well. Closest-to-the-pin honors went to Dick Frost and Jeff Jaynes on different holes, highlighting their accuracy and precision. Other low scores were recorded by Darien Swanson, Nate Thompson, Ryan Lehman, Ryan Thompson, Gordy Jaynes, Daryn Coon, Nolan Hunt, Dick Frost, Derrick Nickerson, Chris Barrett, Brady Nusom, August Viele, Steve Holt, Joe Quagliana, Judd Dahl, David Grayson, and Adam Carpenter, demonstrating the competitive nature of the league.
