But so far I have not received any official statement or confirmation in this regard.“ He further added that discussions are ongoing with various stakeholders to reach a solution regarding the BCB. Asif Mahmud has also sought the input of former cricketers in finding a resolution to the current situation.

A quorum of nine directors is required to pass any decision, and despite several directors associated with the Awami League government being in hiding, there are still enough directors available to fulfill the quorum. In fact, eight directors had already met with the Sports Adviser earlier to seek advice on the BCB, especially with important tournaments scheduled to take place in Bangladesh.
