The Sheridan High School tennis teams had a successful outing as they faced off against Cheyenne East and Cheyenne Central in recent matches. The boys‘ team came out victorious in both of their matches, while the girls‘ team split their matches with a win against Cheyenne East and a loss to Cheyenne Central. The next scheduled tennis match for the Sheridan teams is set to take place on Tuesday, August 20th at Laramie.

In the boys‘ match against Cheyenne East, the Sheridan team secured a 3-2 victory. Despite a strong performance from Colin Crecelius of East who defeated Sean Brown in the #1 singles match, the Sheridan boys rallied to win the #2 singles match with Carter Gray defeating Peyton Seelye. The #1 doubles team of Shaw Walker and Ben Bujans also secured a win, as did the #2 doubles team of Jaeger Conrad and Tanner Hamrick. The #3 doubles match went to Cheyenne East, but Sheridan’s overall performance was enough to secure the win.

The Sheridan boys continued their winning streak in the match against Cheyenne Central, dominating with a 5-0 victory. Sean Brown, Carter Gray, Shaw Walker, Ben Bujans, Jaeger Conrad, Tanner Hamrick, Matt Brown, Drew Miller all contributed to the team’s success with wins in their respective matches.

On the girls‘ side, the Lady Broncs had a strong showing against Cheyenne East, securing a 5-0 victory. Ella Bilyeu, Brooke Alexander, Lexi Clark, Abby Venn, Brittney Geissler, Larissa Hoffman, Avery Ligocki, and Sydney Zebroski all played exceptionally well to secure the win for Sheridan.

Unfortunately, the Lady Broncs faced a tough opponent in Cheyenne Central and suffered a 4-1 loss. Despite the loss, Brittney Geissler and Larissa Hoffman managed to secure a win in the #2 doubles match, showcasing their determination and skill on the court.

Overall, the Sheridan High School tennis teams displayed great talent and teamwork in their recent matches. With a mix of victories and losses, the teams are sure to learn and grow from each match as they continue to compete throughout the season.
